Mark Callahan of Salem, OR announces bid for U.S. Senate

Mark Callahan
Leadership, Integrity, Character, Honor, Trust

Mark Callahan of Salem, OR, recently filed with the Federal Election Commission, and the Oregon Secretary of State, as a candidate for The United States Senate. Callahan is a father of 2 young daughters, an average American, and he loves our county. He is an Eagle Scout, and has had past civic involvement with groups in the Eugene/Springfield area, as well as being a past member of Rotary, where he received the Paul Harris Fellow award. Mark is currently a Precinct Committee Person with the Marion County Republican Party. He graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a focus/option in Management Information Systems, while minoring in Pre-Law.

Although Callahan has not held an elected office outside of Precinct Committee Person, he brings years of real life experience and knowledge to the political arena. In the last few years, Callahan has had the motivation, heart, and drive to run for public offices in the past such as school board, the Oregon Legislature, and the county commission in Lane County. Callahan is an information technology professional by trade, and has worked in both consulting and permanent position roles in the information technology industry over the last 13 years. With this background, Callahan has the troubleshooting/analytical mindset to take on problems, and not give up until they are solved.

Callahan believes it's time for a new generation in Washington D.C. As a fiscal and constitutional conservative, he cares deeply about the freedoms that the founders of our great nation established over 237 years ago. He has within his heart a sincere and motivated drive to keep secure the freedoms that our men and women in uniform have fought and died for over the generations, against the tyranny of threats both foreign and domestic.

Mark has begun his travels around the state to meet with and hear from voters. He welcomes the opportunity to meet with various groups around the state to listen to the concerns of Oregonians. Requests to have Mark Callahan meet with your group or organization, as well as his past and future campaign events can be accessed on the Contact and Scheduling page, his campaign website at: www.CallahanForOregon.com.
