John Dingell, the longest-serving member of the United States House of Representatives, is considering not running for re-election, according to a report in the Detroit News.
Dingell, who represents the Ann Arbor area along with areas of Wayne County, has run successfully 29 times since 1955. The 87-year-old Dearborn Democrat recently broke the record for the longest-serving congressman in history.
