Ranked Choice Voting Qualifies for Benton County Ballot

Hey, Republicans! Please review this measure and let us know what you think of it! --Thanks, bc
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Voters in Benton County could be the first in the state to adopt a new voting style. --Tuesday, a group turned in enough signatures to put a measure on the November ballot for Ranked Choice Voting. --Instead of voting for just one candidate, Ranked Choice Voting ranks candidates in order of preference. It's being used in a number of other cities, including San Francisco and Minneapolis, and by the OSU Student Government. --It's a process that supporters said gives more power to voters. --Tuesday morning, the Better Ballots for Benton County campaign [check out the supporters] turned in more than 4,500 signatures for Rank Choice Voting, that's about 1,700 more than was needed to get the initiative on the ballot.

No one helped us out... so we will be voting by ranked choice in future elections other than primaries!
