In 2008 and 2012, the Iowa caucuses were pushed to the first week of January, thanks to some extremely un-generous wrangling between the early primary states. Adapting to that, campaigns cut together homey Christmas-themed ads. You had to be on the air; you might as well be nice about it.

Trump, Dictatorship and Competing With An Illiberal Left
A number of editorials have appeared in center-right outlets accusing Trump supporters of wanting a dictator. Well obviously.
Politics is a competition. Everyone wants to win the game based on the rules of the game. And the current rules of the game are not Constitutional. The left wanted a dictator. Obama gave them one. He implemented laws, started wars and took on powers which were not only beyond his authority, but which were opposed by the majority of Americans and elected legislators in Congress.

Ben Carson doubles down: No apologies for saying he wouldn’t back a Muslim for president
I think he just locked down Iowa.
“I do not believe Sharia is consistent with the Constitution of this country,” Carson said. “Muslims feel that their religion is very much a part of your public life and what you do as a public official, and that’s inconsistent with our principles and our Constitution.”
Carson said that the only exception he’d make would be if the Muslim running for office “publicly rejected all the tenants [sic] of Sharia and lived a life consistent with that.”Read more at Hotair.com Read More......

Ben Carson Does Not Believe a Muslim Should Be President
Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said he would not support a Muslim as President of the United States.
Responding to a question on "Meet the Press," the retired neurosurgeon said, "I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that."
He also said that Islam, as a religion, is incompatible with the Constitution.

Dr. Ben Carson Asked a 'Gotcha' Question: Does the Bible Have Authority Over the Constitution?
"Does the Bible have authority over the Constitution?" That "gotcha" question was put to Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday. The retired neurosurgeon, however, didn't fall for the bait.
NBC's Chuck Todd said it's a question from a Facebook poster by one Victor Roush, adding that it's a "simple question." "Does the Bible have authority over the constitution?"
"That is not a simple question by any stretch of the imagination," Carson, retired neurosurgeon retorted.
