Christie says GOP's plans to suspend NBC from next debate is a bit much

Appearing Saturday on Fox News' "Fox and Friends," Gov. Chris Christie accused CNBC's Republican presidential debate moderators of showing "bias" that he termed "despicable" but pooh-poohed the Republican National Committee's move to suspend plans for a Feb. 26 GOP presidential primary debate with NBC as a bit much.
"If you're running for president of the United States and you can't handle yourself against three CNBC moderators without crying foul and calling for intervention then you're not going to do very well against Vladimir Putin, either," Christie said.

Christie Inches Up in Latest Poll, Trump Remains Strong

According to a CBS News poll released on Oct. 11, Christie came in eighth, with 3 percent support among likely Republican voters. That’s a big improvement from the September CBS News poll which had Christie tied for 11th, with only 1 percent of the vote.

Debating Chris Christie is a formidable task because he's quick-witted, sharp-tongued and slightly intimidating. Those qualities helped him get the best of Rand Paul in the first Republican presidential debate. But Christie's best weapon is one that may catch up with him: He never lets the truth get in his way.

Christie vetoes NJ bill that would allow transgenders to change their birth certificates

I’m just counting the days until this particular battle shows up at the federal level. (As you’ll see in a moment, I’m not sure if that’s even possible, but if it is, the Justice Department will figure out a way.) Legislators in New Jersey passed a bill (for the second time) which, if signed into law, would allow transgender individuals to alter their birth certificates to reflect their “new” gender of choice. And for the second straight time, Christie broke out the veto pen.

Chris Christie Vows Crackdown On Legal Weed As Soon As He's Prez

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is once again threatening marijuana users in states that have legalized the drug, telling them to "enjoy it" while they can because, if he becomes president, there'll be a crackdown. “If you’re getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it,” Christie said Tuesday during a Newport, New Hampshire, town-hall meeting, Bloomberg reports. “As of January 2017, I will enforce the federal laws.”

Christie touting his conservative bona fides

Governor Christie spent the past week on the campaign trail hitting key issues that are popular with the conservative voters who likely hold the key to his success as a Republican candidate for president. His tour through the early voting states, which includes return trips to New Hampshire and Iowa this week, comes as his campaign and a super PAC supporting his candidacy are spending a combined $1 million to run political ads nationally on Fox News that show Christie criticizing President Obama over the Iran nuclear deal, just as the next round of horse-race polls are being conducted.

Christie May Be Exiting Fox Debate

Fox News is broadcasting the first debate of the campaign for the GOP nomination on August 6th. According to the network, only the top 10 candidates, determined by an average of polls on August 4th will participate. Surprisingly, the biggest loser of the Fox rule may be New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
A new poll from Monmouth University finds Christie losing support among Republican voters since formally announcing his entry into the race.

Rubio, Christie planning sleepover with the Romneys

2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney will be hosting two rival Republican presidential contenders at a holiday sleepover Friday evening.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will both be staying over at Romney’s property in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, an aide to Romney confirmed.
The aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of what the aide called the private nature of the event, said the former governor and his wife opened their home to the Christie and Rubio families after hearing they would be in town for the holiday weekend.

Chris Christie Announces 2016 Presidential Campaign With Swipes At Obama, Hillary Clinton

Chris Christie is running for president, he announced today at his alma mater, Livingston High School in New Jersey, becoming the 14th Republican candidate to enter the 2016 presidential race.
"America is tired of handwringing and indecisiveness and weakness in the Oval Office," the New Jersey governor said today to a cheering crowd. "We need to have strength and decision-making and authority back in the Oval office and that is why today I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination for president of the United States of America."
