Dr. Carason: I never had an audit until I spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast. And then all of the sudden they came in and said, "We just want to look at your real estate dealings." And then they didn't find anything. And then they took a look at the whole year. And they didn't find anything. And then they looked at the next year and they didn't find anything. And they won't find anything. The fact is the IRS is not honest and we have to get rid of them.

Swiss bank's donations to Clinton Foundation increased after Hillary intervention in IRS dispute
Donations to the Clinton Foundation by Swiss bank UBS increased tenfold after Hillary Clinton intervened to settle a dispute with the IRS early in her tenure as secretary of state, according to a published report.
According to the Wall Street Journal, total donations by UBS to the foundation grew from less than $60,000 at the end of 2008 to approximately $600,000 by the end of 2014. The Journal reports that the bank also lent $32 million through entrepreneurship and inner-city loan programs it launched in association with the foundation, while paying former President Bill Clinton $1.5 million to participate in a series of corporate question-and-answer sessions with UBS Chief Executive Bob McCann.

Rand Paul Gets Flat and Fair
Overnight, Rand Paul changed the dynamics of the Republican presidential race when he released his "Fair and Flat" tax plan on Thursday. As he said when he unveiled the plan on video, this is the boldest rewrite of the income tax system in 100 years. Even Ronald Reagan -- who dramatically improved the federal tax system -- didn't perform such a sweeping clean-up of the tax code.
For full disclosure, I spent the last several months helping design this plan with Sen. Paul -- so I'm biased. But there is no doubt that this plan, which reduces income tax rates from as high as 40 percent and business taxes from 35 percent down to a flat 14.5 percent rate, can only be described as explosively pro-growth and pro-jobs.

Act Two: Merkley and the IRS Scandal
Hypocrisy is the scarlet letter of modern day politics, and Jeff Merkley is wearing it. From Main Street to Wall Street, Senator Merkley’s actions rarely match his rhetoric. Saying one thing, and doing another is the recipe by which Merkley and his political cohorts hold on to power, proving his allegiance lies not with the people of Oregon, but rather D.C. special interests.
The second act of hypocrisy we’ve caught Senator Merkley in is the Internal Revenue Service scandal involving the targeting of groups based on their political leanings. In May 2013, Mr. Merkley called the IRS targeting of political groups “wrong and absolutely unacceptable”, but had pressured the IRS to investigate those same political groups in March 2012. What a difference a year makes!
Here’s how it played out:
