Cruz Book Makes NYT Best Seller List After 'Partisan Bias' Feud

Despite outselling all but two books last week, Ted Cruz's memoir A Time For Truth somehow failed to make the New York Times best seller list, the paper of record alleging that "strategic bulk purchases" were the only reason its sales were so high. After a public feud with Cruz and pushback from HarperCollinsAmazon, and Barnes & Noble—all of whom said they saw no evidence of bulk sales—the NYT has now allowed Cruz's memoir a spot on its coveted list.

Scott Walker and the Other Dummies

On the day Scott Walker would announce in Wisconsin that he was running for president, The New York Times offered a typical takedown on the front page. "Admiring voters" found him to be authentic and approachable, but there were two words these fans apparently did not use: "Smart" and "sophisticated." That might be because liberal snobs at the Times think that those words are defined by how liberal you are. Amazon: 'No evidence' of bulk sales for Ted Cruz book

The New York Times' refusal to put Ted Cruz's memoir on its bestseller list is once again being called into question — this time by Amazon, the largest Internet retailer in the country.
On Sunday, an Amazon spokesperson told the On Media blog that the company's sales data showed no evidence of unusual bulk purchase activity for the Texas senator's memoir, casting further doubt on the Times' claim that the book — "A Time For Truth" — had been omitted from its list because sales had been driven by "strategic bulk purchases."
"As of yesterday, 'A Time for Truth' was the number 13 bestselling book, and there is no evidence of unusual bulk purchase activity in our sales data," Sarah Gelman, Amazon's director of press relations, said in an email.

EXCLUSIVE: NYT Debunked: Scott Walker’s ‘I’m Not Going Nativist’ Conversation Never Happened

A conversation about immigration between Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and the Heritage Foundation’s Stephen Moore, reported on by the New York Times this week, never happened.
“We have spoken with Stephen Moore and the conversation that was reported did not happen and he will tell you that. I would recommend you reach out to him,” Walker spokeswoman AshLee Strong told Breitbart News on Thursday in response to an article by Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman.
