Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin threw his support behind Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign on Tuesday, calling him the strongest conservative to represent the Republican Party in the general election and defeat Hillary Clinton if she is the Democratic nominee.

‘It’s a F—ing Bitch, Man’ - Why Republicans Hate Political Consultants
One day after Scott Walker dropped out of the presidential race, the Politico headline read: “Walker’s campaign manager unloads.” The same day, the Washington Post had an article, “Inside the collapse of Scott Walker’s presidential bid,” which also drew heavily from Walker’s campaign manager, GOP consultant Rick Wiley. It’s almost as if Wiley had an agenda.
You’ll be shocked to discover that Wiley was preparing an “all-in Iowa plan” that would have slashed personnel, moved headquarters to Des Moines, and rejuvenated the campaign. But Walker and his wife said no.

Scott Walker to propose abolishing unions for federal workers - ABOLISH NLRB
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker plans to focus Monday on weakening labor by proposing to abolish unions for federal workers, create a national "right-to-work law" and eliminate the National Labor Relations Board.
At a Las Vegas manufacturer, he also plans to call for requiring all unions to hold periodic votes so workers can decide whether they should continue to exist, according to his campaign. He will also cancel President Barack Obama's Labor Day order that federal contractors provide paid sick leave and work to end policies requiring some salaried workers to receive overtime—saying in some cases they should get time off instead.

Walker: 'We shouldn't be taking more' Syrian refugees
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday said he opposes the U.S. opening its borders to take in more refugees from Syria.
“No, we shouldn’t be taking on any more Syrian refugees right now,” he said at the Governor’s Small Business Summit in Eau Claire, Wis., according to Wisconsin Public Radio.
“In the last year, America has received almost 70,000 refugees, of which nearly 2,000 are from Syria,” the 2016 GOP presidential candidate said. “We’ve spent something like $4 billion in humanitarian relief in terms of helping the situation in Syria.”

Scott Walker: Building a US-Canada border wall is ‘a legitimate issue’
For all the talk about a southern border wall (ahem, Mr. Trump), Scott Walker has an additional concern: Canada.
Given his support for building a U.S.-Mexico border wall to protect against terrorist threats, the Wisconsin governor was asked on NBC’s Meet the Press by host Chuck Todd if he wanted to build a northern border wall.
Walker, a Republican candidate for president, said a U.S.-Canadian border “is a legitimate issue for us to look at.”

Scott Walker touts $4.7 billion in tax cuts. Is he right?
Live from somewhere in Iowa, Gov. Scott Walker stepped off the campaign stump for a phone interview with Glenn Beck, a nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host.
While rattling off a series of reforms since he became governor in 2010, Walker circled back to one of his favorite talking points: tax cuts.

A Fading Campaign
It’s been a rough month for Scott Walker. From February through July, the Wisconsin governor topped virtually every poll of likely GOP voters in the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses. But after a lackluster performance in the opening Republican presidential debate on August 6, Walker dropped nearly 10 points in an average of Iowa polls, sliding to third place behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson, with Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio close behind.

Scott Walker On Birthright Citizenship, 3 Positions, 7 Days
Scott Walker on Sunday took his third position within seven days on Donald Trump's proposal to end birthright citizenship, this time saying he opposes Trump and supports the policy.
The Wisconsin governor and Republican presidential candidate was asked on ABC's "This Week" whether he backs Trump's push to end the 14th Amendment's mandate that all children born in the United States are automatically granted citizenship.

Walker unveils plan to replace ObamaCare
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Tuesday unveiled a long-awaited plan to replace ObamaCare, becoming the first top-tier GOP presidential candidate to make his healthcare agenda public.
In a 10-page report released Tuesday morning, the Republican governor pledges to repeal the law and replace it with a more affordable and more efficient system, which he declared would not add to the deficit, though he does not say how he would afford his “bold reforms.”

The Truth about Scott Walker’s ‘Taxpayer Funded’ Arena
Today, Wisconsin governor and presidential candidate Scott Walker signed a bill providing public financing for a new basketball arena in downtown Milwaukee. Walker has recently taken some heat on the campaign trail from fellow conservatives, who object to “taxpayer money” being used to finance arenas. An ideological aversion to taxpayer money being used to finance sports arenas is fine, but the actual structure of the Milwaukee deal is far more complicated than its opponents are letting on.

Scott Walker taps Obenshain to lead presidential campaign in Virginia
State Sen. Mark D. Obenshain will serve as chairman of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign in Virginia, the campaign announced Friday.
The notice came the day after Walker appeared onstage in Cleveland with nine other White House hopefuls at the first Republican debate.
The rollout of supporters seven months ahead of Virginia’s March 1 primary is more evidence of the outsize role the swing state will play in the 2016 election.

Republicans View Rubio, Walker Most Positively on Debate Eve
Just ahead of the first official Republican debate of the 2016 presidential campaign, Republicans give Marco Rubio and Scott Walker the highest net favorable ratings among any of the major 16 candidates running for their party's nomination, followed by Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee and Rick Perry. Walker Tells Private Group He'll Skip Florida Primary
Scott Walker has insisted he will be able to “compete anywhere in the country” as a candidate for president — but, at a private event in St. Louis on Sunday, Walker said he does not plan to compete in Florida, contradicting his own public assertions that he would not skip that primary. During a fundraiser at the St. Louis home of Rex Sinquefield, Missouri’s most active Republican donor, Walker reasoned that it “doesn't make a ton of sense for him to pour cash into Florida” with Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio in the race, said one person who was present for Walker’s remarks. Bush is a former Florida governor, and Rubio is a senator from Florida.

Walker's relationship to Kevin Hermening gaining attention
Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign is drawing attention due to the growing presence of Kevin Hermening in his inner circle. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports on Walker’s relationship with Hermening:
“At his presidential campaign launch this month, Walker introduced Hermening — a former Iranian hostage — by name, offering the former U.S. Marine a nod and a salute.
The second-term Republican governor cited Hermening when opposing the nuclear deal with Iran. Walker said Hermening had taught him that Iran “is not a place we should be doing business with.”

Scott Walker: How I would cut Washington down to size
Scott Walker is running for president hardened by four years of fighting for fiscal pragmatism and public sector reform as governor of Wisconsin. Those bruising battles, and his victories in them, underscore nearly every position he has staked out on the road he hopes will take him to the White House.
He touts legislative accomplishments in a blue state, his defeat of militantly hostile unions, and his reversal of the state's budget deficit. Walker slashed wasteful spending by forming a special commission tasked with rooting out abuse, and forced the state government to publish its expenditures online.

Scott Walker shows how it's done confronting video ambush by illegal alien family
The illegal immigration activists who set up a video ambush of Scott Walker in Plainfield, Iowa thought they could really embarrass him, but Walker deftly turned the tables on them. The Washington Post’s account: (video below)
As presidential hopeful Scott Walker toured a farm in this tiny town where he lived as a child, he was confronted by an undocumented worker from Mexico who is living in Wisconsin and demanded to know why Walker does not support President Obama's plan to give temporary status to some undocumented workers, including parents of children who were born in the United States.

Scott Walker in Iowa: Relentlessly on message
The outfits were nearly identical, the speeches repeated almost verbatim and even the intonations rarely varied. Over the course of Scott Walker’s three-day Winnebago trip across Iowa, the Wisconsin governor stumped with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker, exhibiting the kind of discipline that most candidates can only dream of.
In his first days as a presidential candidate in the state where he’s leading in the polls, Walker showed the consistency and attention to detail that propelled him to 12 victories back home — including three statewide wins.
