Marco Rubio's wake-up call
The hype surrounding Marco Rubio's presidential campaign just smashed into the wall of reality.
First, the Florida senator's team insisted it had stashed more campaign cash in the bank than fellow Floridian Jeb Bush -- only it hadn't. The campaign also told reporters it had raised $6 million in the last fundraising quarter -- also not true. That turned out to be an overly generous rounding of the underwhelming real figure: $5.7 million.

Bill Clinton Takes on More of Hillary’s Fundraising
Bill Clinton is taking on more fundraising so that Hillary can concentrate on campaigning.
The former president recently hosted events in Leawood, Kan.; Bingham Farms, Mich.; and Atlanta.
“Bill is taking a bigger and bigger role so that Hillary is free to campaign,” one Democrat told me. “It’s expected he’ll concentrate on the megadonors who can write million-dollar checks to super PACs.”

Ted Cruz raises $12 million over the summer
Ted Cruz raised around $12 million for his presidential campaign during the third quarter, two sources with knowledge of the Texas senator's fundraising told CNN Thursday.
That figure represents a strong haul that will help fuel Cruz's operation at a critical juncture.
His cash flow over the last three months brings his total fundraising so far to $26 million. Cruz raised $10 million in the previous quarter, and $4 million in his first quarter as a candidate.

Rubio posts disappointing third-quarter fundraising haul
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) raised $6 million in the third quarter, a disappointing haul for a candidate who has been rising in the polls and lauded as a potential threat to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the GOP’s establishment mantle.
That’s a drop from the $9 million Rubio raised in two-and-a-half months in the second quarter, after he launched his bid for the White House in mid-April.

Revealed: Ted Cruz Is Crushing Hillary In This Big Indicator Of Electoral Success
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is off to a booming start in terms of super PAC fundraising. His campaign’s primary political action committees reportedly took in a combined $31 million in just their first week of existence last month. Compared to his chief Democrat rival, Hillary Clinton, Cruz’s haul is even more impressive.
Projections indicate that, even by the end of next month, Clinton’s Priorities USA Action super PAC will bring in less than half of what Cruz was able to raise in just a week.

Ted Cruz's Fundraising Hauls Are Off The Charts
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) – the first Republican hopeful to put his name forward – has long maintained that only by mobilizing the conservative grassroots can the GOP hope to reclaim the White House in 2016. He has explicitly said that primary-goers looking for a candidate that will toe the party line, and buckle to the whims of the establishment, should look elsewhere. As a result, he has pledged not to fund his campaign with funds obtained from lobbyists or crony capitalists, and therefore must tap into the generosity and support of ordinary Americans to get his campaign off the ground.
