ANXIOUS JEB BUSH DONORS AWAIT SIGNAL IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON

Jeb Bush, fresh off a record-breaking fundraising effort, celebrated in July with major donors at an exclusive two-day conference in Kennebunkport, Maine.  It was there the former governor boasted his $114 million hauls were "only the beginning."  That was last year. Jeb Bush is convincing donors the polls are wrong

Jeb Bush didn’t fix it. His attempted attacks on rivals have fallen flat. His $30 million in TV ads have failed to move his numbers. And now, with the Iowa caucuses less than two months away, he’s polling at a miserable 3 percent nationally.

But there’s one significant success that is keeping his campaign alive: Jeb Bush has convinced major GOP donors and supporters that the polls are wrong.

What does Jeb Bush get for $20 million in TV ad buys? Not much.

Jeb Bush and his supporters have spent more than twice that of any other candidate or outside group on TV ads in the 2016 presidential race. And what does the former Florida governor get for nearly $20 million, asks Mark Murray of NBC News.
Apparently, not much.

Jeb Bush backers prep for debate by leaking plans to destroy Marco Rubio

Aides to Jeb Bush and the super PAC backing him are so freaked out and betrayed by Sen. Marco Rubio's rise in the Republican presidential polls and Bush's decline, they are setting aside up to $20 million to sink Rubio's campaign and previewing an attack ad criticizing Bush's former protege as too extreme on abortion to get elected president, report Maggie Haberman and Michael Barbaro at The New York Times, citing at least three people "privy to" discussions and preparations in the Bush camp.

Bush's 'Jeb Can Fix It' tour appears to be changing few minds in New Hampshire

As Jeb Bush attempted to reintroduce himself to presidential primary voters in New Hampshire this week, the former Florida governor had a problem: Many had already met him.
"There's a whole negative air about Jeb amongst the people I know," said Myrna Greene, a retired school secretary who chairs the New Boston Republican Committee.

The agony of Jeb Bush

He just isn't all that good at this. And he knows it.
There's no other conclusion that you could draw after watching Jeb Bush flail in Wednesday night's Republican presidential debate. Bush looked overmatched and lost - an image made all the worse by the fact that he was positioned on the stage in Boulder, Colo., next to Marco Rubio, his one-time political mentee but now quite clearly his superior in the race.

Jeb Bush Hopes for Reset Through New Tour, E-Book

In the wake of widespread campaign cuts and tumbling poll numbers, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is attempting to take control of his own narrative, quite literally, by releasing it online. His e-book, Reply All, a tome of his email from two terms as governor of Florida, will be released next Monday. The same week, Bush will also try to bolster a faltering campaign by launching a “Jeb Can Fix It” tour — all an effort to focus on his record as governor, an overarching principle of his campaign.

Jeb Bush Is Toast

To win the GOP primary and, more important, the general election, a candidate must be able to play to both grassroots supporters and the major donors. Since the dawn of the era of Internet campaigns, beginning in the 2000 election, no candidate in either party who was not, at this point in the election cycle, in the top two in grassroots fundraising has won the nomination, nor has any candidate outside the top three in major-donor funding.

Jeb Bush Has Learned the Wrong Lessons From His Family Tradition

Jeb Bush may be his own man, as he has repeatedly insisted to interviewers. But in his place, practically everyone would be influenced––even in spite of themselves––by knowledge of what their father and big brother did in similar situations, especially given that every likeness and reversal will prompt commentary. As voters weigh whether to entrust the presidency to a third member of the Bush family, it is proper to reflect on the legacies of George H.W. and George W. Bush.

Jeb admitted in his own book that 'leaky' immigration policy led to 9/11

Jeb admitted in his own book that 'leaky' immigration policy led to 9/11 – exactly what he said was 'pathetic' after Trump blasted his brother for failing to prevent it.
A new battlefield has emerged in the war of words between Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump and the man he deposed in July, and this time it's Jeb Bush's own words that are coming back to haunt him.

Bush has 'grave doubts' about Trump as commander in chief

Jeb Bush said Donald Trump discusses foreign policy like a reality show star and that support for the Republican front-runner will eventually wane. Bush also said he has little confidence in Trump's ability to appropriately handle America's nuclear weapons.
"I have grave doubts, to be honest with you," Bush told CNN's Jake Tapper in an interview airing Sunday on "State of the Union."

Jeb cuts back

On the first day of a two-day Iowa swing back in August, Jeb Bush flew from Davenport to Ankeny in a private plane. The next day, after he spent more than four hours bounding around the State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, a top adviser attributed Bush’s high energy level to having spent less time in transit.

Those days are over.

Romney's path to nomination eludes Jeb

On paper, Jeb Bush’s 2016 campaign mirrors Mitt Romney’s 2012 efforts, but Bush faces a far steeper climb to the nomination, political watchers say. With three popular outsider candidates leading the race, rising establishment contenders and the failure to lock down any of the early-voting states so far, Bush is beset by burdens that never weighed on Romney.

Team Jeb Bush Saturates the Airwaves

By now, you probably know that Jeb Bush and the Super PAC supporting him are spending the most on TV ads in the presidential contest. But you might not know the extent to which Team Jeb is actually saturating the airwaves in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Here is the ad-spending data, via NBC ad-tracking partner SMG Delta, for just this week alone (Oct. 4-10):
