Sharron Angle considering run against RINO for Harry Reid's seat

Sandoval says he won’t run for Reid’s US Senate seat

Gov. Brian Sandoval announced Tuesday he will not run for Harry Reid’s U.S. Senate seat.
Sandoval made known his intentions to remain as governor, at least for now, following the conclusion of the 2015 legislative session on June 1...
“I have said many times that it is an honor and a privilege to serve as Nevada’s chief executive and that I love my job. My heart is in my responsibilities as governor and continuing to build the New Nevada. My undivided attention must be devoted to being the best governor, husband and father I can be.
“For these reasons, I will not seek the United States Senate seat that will be available in 2016,” Sandoval said.

Nevada Stays With Caucus System in Blow to Jeb Bush

Nevada is keeping its caucuses for selecting presidential nominees, a blow to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and other contenders who hoped to shift the early-voting state to a system of primaries.
Caucuses are considered favorable to candidates who have a network of highly motivated activists, such as Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval, who has met with Bush, backed legislation to change to a primary, but the bill never came up for a vote before the Legislature adjourned Monday night.

Democrats avoid primary mess in Nevada

Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) will forego a run at the Senate in 2016, clearing a path to the Democratic nomination for Sen. Harry Reid’s handpicked successor, Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.
“I just love representing Nevada’s first district,” Titus said in a video posted online late Tuesday. “No matter where I go in the world, when I say I represent Las Vegas, everybody knows where that is.”

LAS VEGAS — Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid's decision to retire next year leaves no clear successor in his home state of Nevada, where a popular Republican governor appears reluctant to change jobs and the pending loss of Reid's clout in Washington is causing anxiety over who might replace him.  As of Friday, the list of potential candidates came down to Gov. Brian Sandoval and everyone else. Harry Reid Says He Won’t Seek Re-Election

WASHINGTON — Senator Harry Reid, the tough tactician who has led Senate Democrats since 2005, will not seek re-election next year, bringing an end to a three-decade congressional career that culminated with his push of President Obama’s ambitious agenda against fierce Republican resistance.  Mr. Reid, 75, who suffered serious eye and facial injuries in a Jan. 1 exercise accident at his Las Vegas home, said he had been contemplating retiring from the Senate for months. He said his decision was not attributable either to the accident or to his demotion to minority leader after Democrats lost the majority in November’s midterm elections.
