Colorado's Senate contest is second only to the presidential race in importance to Republicans nationwide. To blow a rare opportunity, Republicans need only nominate State Sen. Tim Neville — a politician known for close ties to a special-interest lobby that insidiously harms gun rights.

Kasich’s Second Amendment Problem
Governor John Kasich’s hopes that he had overcome the anti-gun reputation he had earned for supporting the Clinton Gun Ban in 1994 may now be dashed, after he told two separate Sunday talk shows that he is considering nominating a Supreme Court justice who might abolish the Second Amendment.

LISTEN: Leaked Hillary Audio Reveals Her REAL Plan for Guns Once Elected
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is coming for your guns. Oh, don’t expect her to say that during a campaign speech covered by the media or in an op-ed in The New York Times. But when she’s among friends and doesn’t realize she’s being recorded, she’s apparently a little more open about her plans.

Democrats Unanimous in Support of Gun Control for 2016
For the 2016 elections, the Democrat candidates are virtually unanimous on gun control. They support President Obama's executive orders, and want to go beyond what he is pushing:

Clinton makes gun control a defining cause
From the stage in Boston’s historic Faneuil Hall last Sunday, Hillary Clinton scanned the balcony, spotted a group of women wearing “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America” T-shirts over their sweaters and waved her recognition.
Singling out the activists has become a regular occurrence on the campaign trail — a group of the Moms attend the majority of Clinton’s town halls and rallies, with a presence large enough to make it hard for the candidate to ignore.

Cruz: America Only 1 Liberal Justice Away From Gun Confiscation
The amount of power that the Supreme Court was wielded during the Obama years has been disconcerting to say the least.
Not many presidential candidates are focusing on the fact that the Supreme Court has taken a noticeable turn to the left and is slowly being filled with judges that hold some very radical views along with a general disdain for the rule of law.
Senator Ted Cruz is well aware of this shift and has been hammering the message home on the campaign trail.

Bloomberg-backed group makes $1.5M ad buy in race for Colgan's Senate seat
A gun-safety group backed by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is now pouring $1.5 million into a crucial Northern Virginia legislative contest for the seat of retiring Sen. Charles J. Colgan, D-Prince William. The new ad buy backs Democrat Jeremy McPike and targets Republican Harry J. “Hal” Parrish II. It comes a day after the group announced it is buying $700,000 of political advertising to back Democrat Daniel A. Gecker and oppose Republican Glen H. Sturtevant in the race for the seat of retiring Sen. John Watkins, R-Powhatan.

Gun-rights group takes on Toomey
As Sen. Pat Toomey officially launched his reelection campaign over the weekend, a gun rights group was planning to interrupt the festivities by protesting the Pennsylvania Republican’s support for universal background checks.
At the last minute, though, Pennsylvanians for Self Protection canceled the protest. A group official said it was scrapped after a Toomey staffer promised the senator would not reintroduce the high-profile gun control bill known as the Toomey-Manchin proposal that stalled in the Senate two years ago.

Slate: Left-Wing Sanders a Right-Wing Gun Nut
My first article for Townhall.com targeted left-wing online magazine Slate for dressing up Election 2014 Republican wins as subtle left-wing victories. While the column claimed that Republicans had adopted liberal views on key issues, the fact is that many Republicans, whether winning federal or state office, pointed out (effectively) that liberal, Democratic, “progressive” politicians and their policies were not just creating, but exacerbating, the problems of wage inequality, overregulation for the benefit of the few at the expense of the rest of us, and the prosperity of Big Labor, Business, and other special interests against the General Welfare, Main Street, and the Little Guy.
This past week, Slate Magazine published another intriguing attack, but this time against the left-wing Grandfather wowing crowds and wooing Hillary supporters: Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders.
